X-rays
At Wellington Imaging we use the latest digital technology to produce the highest quality x-ray images at the lowest possible cost. We don’t require you to book an appointment.
By moving to digital we can view x-rays immediately and send results over our secure authorised internet to your referrer.

Immigration Chest X-ray
Our Wellington clinic is part of the Onshore Panel Physician Network for Immigration New Zealand and Australia. This means we are approved to perform immigration X-rays.
You must bring your original passport with you to your appointment.

Ultrasound Guided Injection
Steroid Injection
Our radiologist uses ultrasound guidance to identify the exact spot for steroid injection into your joint or tendon (as opposed to ‘going in blind’).
In most cases, the needle used is very small so there’s no need to worry if you have a needle phobia.
Steroid injections are performed at our Wellington clinic.

PRP and PRP Matrix Injections
PRP Injections are performed at our Wellington clinic.
Using the patients own blood, specially prepared platelets are taken and then re-injected into the affected area under ultrasound guidance to ensure accuracy. The procedure takes up to 1 hour.
Do not take anti-inflammatory medications for one week before your injection.
General treatment plan for PRP and Matrix.
For injuries or tendinopathy, e.g. tennis elbow.
We recommend 3 injections 1 month apart. for best results.
For OA e.g. hip and knee, the aim is to improve symptoms and functions, and to delay surgery as long as possible.
We prefer MATRIX PRP over STANDARD PRP.
We recommend 3 injections 1 months apart.
After the 3 injections, then depending on patients symptoms and functional status, we may advise maintenance by one injection every 6 months.
